29 Weeks

So, I can finally say that I completed the 5k! It was  pretty hard considering it was a "trail run" so it actually took place on hiking grounds. Not your typical 5k. I'm very interested how I would've done on a regular paved 5K now that this one is completed. I think it also helped to be running it with some of my good friends!!

I would love to sign up for another one, and may before the end of this pregnancy. The Color Run, being held downtown, is at the beginining of October.

On top of running the 5K, Dan and I went to the Reds game yesterday. The seats we had were amazing - which meant we were DIRECTLY in the sun with no shade for a good hour and half. I was honestly terrified of the sweat stains I'd have everytime I got up.

Aren't they SOOOO handsome. All the boys!

  • How far along?  29 Weeks

    • Total weight gain:  Yikes- it was 15, but I'm sure this weekend made it jump.
    • Maternity clothes? Just tops still. The Dress above is from the Target Juniors Department. I did try my jeans on the other day and I can pull them up still and everything...just not zip or button them. So they still fit with either a bella band, elastics band..
    • Stretch marks? none yet
    • Sleep: Still pretty good..
    • Best moment this week: Seeing our little girl on the 3d/4D ultrasound - Still breech which is VERY different then G..he was head down VERY early which I'm convinced is the reason these pregnancies have felt so different. I remember feeling Grayson down LOWW all the time...and she I feel up very high. Her butt is down with her legs and feet in her face. While this position is MUCH more comfortable pregnancy wise, I would've loved to hear that she was already head down!
    • Miss Anything? Not really
    • Movement: Still wiggling a lot.
    • Food cravings: None.
    • Food aversions: nothing really
    • Gender: Girl:)
    • Labor Signs: Still have some braxton hicks here and there.
    • Symptoms: I had my GTT test last week and I passed - yey. I was called in a prescription for Iron since they said I was very anemic. I'm taking over 600mg of Iron a day at this point and they want me to try to eat (specifically) more red meat.

    • Belly Button in or out? Out.
    • Wedding rings on or off? On.
    • Looking forward to: My pregnancy massage on friday! I also didn't realize that with my $75 towards the pregnancy massage...I also recieved a $50 coupon towards a Medela Breast Pump - wahoo!
    • Feelings- I still feel really great - a little bummed that the baby hasn't moved into position yet, but I know she still has a lot of time.

    28 Weeks

    This week FLEW by!

I don't have much to report other then the quiz. The weather is supposed to be really nice out this weekend so Dan and I are going to attempt to take Grayson on his first "REAL" hike....meaning we WON'T backpack him and see how he does on his own walking.

If he does well on his own, it'll be really great - we love going to Gatlinburg and hiking and our hope is that Grayson will be able to start walking some of the small hikes while we backpack/babywear baby girl!

  • How far along?  28 weeks

    • Total weight gain:  14lbs. I didn't hit 14lbs until 30 weeks with Grayson, so it looks like I'm going to probably gain a bit more with this pregnancy then I did with G..although I started the pregnancy about 5 lbs heavier with him. I was DEFINITELY getting cankles and more "swollen" looking with G at this point. (to me, at least)
    • Maternity clothes? Just tops still. The dress above is from Express (wore it to my baby shower for G). I have 12 more weeks and will hopefully never have had to buy a pair of maternity pants. ever.
    • Stretch marks? none yet
    • Sleep: Still pretty good..
    • Best moment this week: Hearing baby's heartbeat today!
    • Miss Anything? Not really
    • Movement: Still wiggling a lot.
    • Food cravings: None.
    • Food aversions: nothing really
    • Gender: Girl:)
    • Labor Signs: Still have some braxton hicks here and there.
    • Symptoms: No more protein in urine - yey. Back pain is still getting worse. I still workout 4 days a week and the pain is usually worse on those days. It's not to the point where it hurts when I walk, so that's a really big plus for me. I'm starting to get a bit more tired at the end of the day...more so when I'm home with Grayson on my own since it's pretty much non-stop activity.
    • Belly Button in or out? Out.
    • Wedding rings on or off? On.
    • Looking forward to: Our 3D/4D ultrasound NEXT friday! We weren't sure whether we really wanted to spend the money on one this time...but I get a $75 credit towards a pregnancy massage if we do....so it makes it worth it to me. hehe
    • Feelings- Again, I still feel really good this time around. I'm starting to buy clothes here and there for her.

    27 Weeks

    They love each other...:)

Wow, I am definitely glad last week is over with! Grayson ended up having Strep and, of course, refused to sleep. Every time he swallowed he would say "OW mommy". So every 3 seconds I heard..."Ow Mommy". So sad. It was physically hard for me since Grayson reverts back to when he was a newborn and wants to be held ALL the time...and not held sitting...he wants you standing, rocking and holding him. I hope this little girl isn't so picky! I would do ANYTHING for a baby that wants to be held all day, and will allow you to sit down. ha

Thankfully, by Thursday he was feeling well enough to go back to school (and I could go back to work!) and it was good for the BOTH of us. Dan did relieve me as much as he could a couple days a week so that I could get in some hours so that I wasn't totally overwhelmed and bombarded Thursday and it really helped.

This week has been much better, although Grayson is still having nap issues. He's been up in his room for over an hour just playing and slamming on the door. Sorry kid. This momma needs to get a workout in, clean the house, and send out some emails.

I don't feel too bad since we've gotten to have TONS of playdates with Vince and Zach (one tonight!) I may have begged my girlfriend to become a Stay at Home mom so that we can have the boys play ALL the time. I'm going to be tramatized when she goes back to work!

  • How far along?  27 weeks - 3rd Tri

    • Total weight gain:  12 lbs - looks like I'm steadily gaining about a 1lb a week at this point. Although I weighed myself Monday morning and it looks like I may have a larger then 1lb weight gain before the end of THIS week....
    • Maternity clothes? Just tops still. I rotate a lot of dresses and skirts. The outfit above is kohls juniors leggings, Target Maternity Long and Lean tank top, and the vest was from Forever 21.
    • Stretch marks? none yet
    • Sleep: Still pretty good..
    • Best moment this week: Almost completeing the nursery! The chair, lighting and window treatments are in - now we need to work on anything we're putting on the walls and the closet!
    • Miss Anything? Not really
    • Movement: We call her "wiggles". She doesn't seem as active as Grayson was (ahem. kicks...maybe because I'm still a little early) but she seems to move and wiggle a lot.
    • Food cravings: None.
    • Food aversions: nothing really
    • Gender: Girl:)
    • Labor Signs: Still have some braxton hicks here and there.
    • Symptoms: The back pain is getting worse every week. I'm physically getting more tired as the weeks go on. Leaking boobs. At my doctors appt, they told me I had protein in my urine and to really focus on drinking a lot more water. She also mentioned potentially cutting down my work-outs if they are making me dehydrated. WAHHHH.
    • Belly Button in or out? Out.
    • Wedding rings on or off? On.
    • Looking forward to: Another doc appt this friday. I'm already going every 2 weeks at this point - I'll be taking my GTT and getting my Rhogam shot.
    • Feelings- I still feel really good!!

    26 Weeks

  • How far along?  26 Weeks. I guess I *officially* popped this week. I had 3 people comment that I'm finally looking really pregnant.while last week at gymnastics TWO people were shocked to hear that I was expecting. To me, I feel wayy big.

    • Total weight gain:  11 lbs (official doc appt. weigh in today!)
    • Maternity clothes? Just tops still. I rotate a lot of dresses and skirts. On my days off (wednesday and friday) I wear toddler friendly outfits of tank tops and stretchy shorts.
    • Stretch marks? none yet
    • Sleep: Still pretty good..
    • Best moment this week: hearing baby's heartbeat this morning!
    • Miss Anything? Not really - I'm actually really excited to be giving birth before the holidays roll around- I'm pretty sure a glass of wine around Thanksgiving is going to be perfect!
    • Movement: Lots of kicks and rolls
    • Food cravings: None.
    • Food aversions: nothing really
    • Gender: Girl:)
    • Labor Signs: Still have some braxton hicks here and there.
    • Symptoms: The back pain is getting worse every week. I'm physically getting more tired as the weeks go on. Leaking boobs.
    • Belly Button in or out? Out.
    • Wedding rings on or off? On.
    • Looking forward to: hopefully a low-key weekend - last weekend was SUPER busy and I think that the Bouchard family is looking to relax a bit. Grayson has not been napping very well for me, so Dan is going to send me on my way during nap time to see if these napping issues are momma related. Last week when Dan was on business, G didn't nap for me once...but when Dan watched him while I attended a wedding shower Sunday, that little stinker took a 3 hour nap! This past Wednesday and Friday the same thing happened - he refused to nap for me. Dan is convinced Grayson is "playing me"...so we'll see if he goes down for a nap tomorrow. I have to specifically leave the house BEFORE naptime so Grayson knows I'm not there.
    • Feelings- Getting a little emotional. We're starting to think this may be our last little one...so I'm really trying take in everything about this pregnancy and enjoy it. Obviously we aren't making any solid decisions here, but I know that we'd be completely OK at this point having our little boy and girl. I grew up in a big family, which I love, but also know that I want to be able to travel easily, which I know is much harder with more kiddos.

    Oh hey. G's 2 now!

This picture makes me laugh because Dan sooo deserved to be licked instead of kissed. MUWAHAHAHA.

Anyway, I'm going to try to list stuff that G's been up to

    STATS: 24lbs 12oz -14%
                   35.5inch -80%

At this point, Grayson will probably stay on his long/lean track.

    • Bedtime: we put Grayson down at 8:00...but he really doesn't go to bed until 9 or 10. He gets up between 2 or 3 times to beg for "milk", "read a book"..he already starts the "delaying bedtime process"
    • Has learned that if he bangs on his door enough he can knock the child handle off his door...SO annoying
    • Words: he says a lot of them now. I was getting concerned, but around 20 months he really started to pick up saying everything. His FAVORITE line "Mommy MERE", "Doggy MERE" and dragging mommy and doggy everywhere.
    • He's taking his last gymnastics class next week for the summer session. Dan and I are reviewing which class he'll attend in the fall. We're thinking of doing an evening class so that Dan can enjoy some time with Grayson.
    • Pre-school - I had mentioned researching pre-schools awhile ago..well, the school I visited just didn't impress me that much...it was more of a "vibe" feeling then anything. I'm really glad I waited, though. First Kids Sports, where G takes his Gymnastics, is opening a pre-school program. They already have before and after school programs, so I'm really thrilled that they are starting a pre-school. The gymnastics teachers are SO great and with him going to sports there I feel like I won't have to transition him to something different. He'll at least be comfortable in the building. We'll most likely put him in full day Tuesday's and Thursdays (again, works out PERFECTLY since I work LITERALLY 2 mins away!) and he'll still go to miss Gina's on Mondays with his little sister.
    • He is still showing more signs of being potty ready. The pediatrician made sure to let us know that it's OK to wait a bit longer - that's it's more important they are really READY, then to start forcing him when he isn't.
    • Baths- he hates them. I feel like we've tried everything and it just gets worse. I'm wondering if he just hates to be clean...:)
    • Teeth Cleaning - pediatrician said it was still a little early to take him to get his teeth cleaned. WHEW! I really don't want to have to deal with that yet...
    • Favorite Foods - continue to be his fruits and veggies. Loves watermelon and cantaloupe.
    • Dislikes - Bath, getting in his car seat, the grocery store, stroller unless he's tired, basically anything that prohibits movement, the vacuum and steam mop
    • Likes - climbing (he doesn't really climb the kitchen table but has moved to the countertops which are way more annoying..), feeding the ducks at the park, remote control cars, finger painting, taking Brewsky for walks, jumping on trampoline, giving hugs and kisses, playing with his friends, feeding Brewsky treats
    • Can point out most animals
    • Can kind of count to 10..but skips numbers here and there
    • Runs and Jumps easily

I'm sure there's more that I can list, but I can't think of it all now.
