2 Months!

My baby is two months old. OMGGG.
Here's what he's been up to:

Weight: 12.3oz (55th percentile)
Height: 23 3/4inch (75th percentile)
Eye Color: Undecided. They still haven't officially settled.
Hair Color: Undecided. Sometimes it looks dark brown and other times it looks light..we'll see as it grows in

Activities
* socially smiles - ALL THE TIME!
* can roll over on to his side
* will sit and watch baby einstein
* coos
* kicks all.the.time.
* can hold his head up on his own - it's a little wobbly at times, but for his age, it's great!
* can hold his head up during tummy time for short periods of time
* still loves his swing
* we can put him in his infant seat as long as the little vibrator is on - he kicks his little legs on it like crazy
* we have a kickin' coaster that he's been enjoying more and more since he's gotten long enough to really move it
* he's starting to REALLY enjoy his playmat. He's obsessed with the hanging giraffe.
* he really likes to eat his fist - mommy's not a fan
* he takes a pacifier when he wants to eat his fist - I'm ok with this
* he likes to eat our noses.
* he LOVES cuddling with Daddy at night. We get home, eat dinner, play, and then he gets to lay on daddy's tummy and fall asleep

up at 5:)

To see this little face at 5am in the morning - is complete bliss. And when he doesn't go back to bed after that 5am feeding - it's still bliss.

One of the surprises about Motherhood that I never expected: Getting up at 1,2,3,am...isn't not NEARLY as bad as I thought it would be.

People are shocked when I tell them that I get TONS more sleep now then while I was pregnant, but I honestly wasn't going to sleep at all some nights during my pregnancy. So now that I get a couple hours - it's awesome! (and currently, Grayson sleeps 9-5, or 8-5 - so the earliest I've had to get up is 5 for a feeding this past week!)

I LOVE YOU MY LITTLE MAN!

How do you like them Apples...

Applefest 2010 was fantastic.

Grayson did very well at his first Fair! Applefest is Ohio's version of a fair. Instead of craft vendors and food in a pasture - there's craft vendors and food on paved roads.

Applefest, followed by Football, followed by hanging on the patio, followed by Delicious Biscuits & Apple Butter, followed by Cookie Monster Cookies. MMMYEAAHHH. Best.Day.Ever.

Fancy Shmancy

Gettin' me a fancy shmancy camera...... =>IF I can stomach the price tag.

Tomorrow, I will be on the hunt for a camera. I'm sure I'll get overly frustrated and annoyed and request a trial period, where If I don't think I look pretty enough, or my baby doesn't look cute enough in photos - the camera gets returned.
That's allowed. No?

Wish me luck....or better yet, wish the guy at Best Buy luck since he'll be dealing with me.

P.S - apparently this is what happens when you have a baby. You get upset when you can't have a perfect close-up of....your baby's eyeball. You laugh, but this isn't a joke. I'm actually upset that I can't have a perfect close-up of my Grayson's eyes, eyelashes, fingertips (yes, I said fingertips)

Now I know why they say kids drain your bank account. It's because you become CRAZY and spend all your money on things like a new camera because you feel like you "might" miss out on really good photo moments.

I am clearly a Hallmark Fail.

BOO. BOO on me. BOO on being ridiculous.

*But at least I'll have cute pictures*

Our first night without the baby....
Dan officiated his boss's wedding last night while Grayson stayed home and played with Grandma and Pepere. They played so much that Grayson slept from 9pm-5am! (he actually slept from 9-5 both nights this weekend....I think one more night of that, and we can officially say he's sleeping through the night!)

ok- here I am with the "me" picture- I took a lot of time to get ready for this wedding and I'm not sure when I'm ever gonna have makeup on again. It's gotta be documented :P

Here were some super fabulous girls I danced with!

And of course a picture of the little man for you!

It's Sunday and Sportscenter has already been on for over an hour. Dan wouldn't let me cuddle with Grayson this morning saying it was "boys day" and that he got to have the morning cuddle. I get my cuddle tomorrow morning:)

Happy Football watching!

Oh Hiiiiii Work

Grayson and Daddy

So tomorrow is my first day back to work. Tear.
It's a little bittersweet. I'm excited to be interacting with adults again, but at the same time sad to be leaving Grayson for so long during the day. Luckily, I'm only working two days this week which will hopefully help both of us transition.

Wish us both luck!

O.H.I.O..and other things

This was Saturday night at John and Laura's..some chili, some football, and great friends. Love it! Here are the boys with the babes.

Before we left for John and Laura's we played a little with Grayson and got him smiling on camera again..Too bad we can't take a picture with him sitting up and looking at the camera! He likes to look at "other" things. hehe

These pictures below are from when we went to the park Friday after Dan got out of work.
It was another beautiful breezy day.
(*note how Grayson is NOT looking at the camera..:)

Can't believe it's Sunday. I go back to work Tuesday and Wednesday this week. WISH ME LUCK! I'm sure there will be lots of tears involved. Oh yea, and this is the week that Dan has to work nights. JOY.

Gray's going to be a big cousin!

Grayson giving me the side eye.....lol ("Ma, WHY are you taking my picture while giving me a bath")

While Dan's at work for a couple hours on this beautiful Saturday - I think Grayson and I will run our own errands. Then it's off to John and Laura's for some Ohio State Football Festivities. I guess I'll dress Gray in red today :P

OH YEA....and GRAYSON IS GOING TO BE A BIG COUSIN!
My little baby is going to be a big baby when we meet his little cousin in April. I'm already a little sad thinking about it!

Congrats to Uncle Scott and Aunt Danielle!

6 weeks Postpartum

Here it is: The 6 week Postpartum pic
I took this mainly so I could look back the next time I'm pregnant and remember that I WAS able to get back to my pre-baby body.

I've lost all the baby weight and fit into all my clothes. The lower part of my stomach still needs some definite toning, but that's going to take some gym time.

Have a great weekend everyone! Grayson, Dan and I will be cooking out with some friends and watching some Ohio State Football. I'm sure some fun pics will follow:)

Lovin' me some sunshine

Grayson and I would like to share with you the park we spent nearly two hours at!
We ate some lunch, walked around for about 40 minutes, and then layed out on a blanket in the shade and kicked our legs (ok, Grayson kicked HIS legs)

Weather: 70 and breezy.

I told you I LOVE this time of the year!
Below are just some snapshots I got while we were taking our walk:)

ENJOY!

Trying out the POD!

Here is Grayson at 5 weeks 5 days old - giving us a smirk on the Bebe Pod. Ok, he hasn't exactly mastered the whole "holdin the head up" thing. But he does pretty well. Dan has been obsessed with trying out the Bebe Pod. Not sure why. So, when he came home from work today, I surprised him with it! We are now going to incorporate "BEBE" time along with floor time, tummy time, and swing time.

Grayson wants to say hello to everyone back home - he can't wait to see some of you in a month or so!

Fall Things

YES! FALL'S HERE!

My favorite time of the year is upon us. Once September hits - I'm in love. The excitement of the football season, the fall festivals, Pumpkin Picking, Pumpkin Carving, Halloween..the list is endless. It seems there's never enough time to soak up all the fun. But, this year, we'll try.

Oh yes, and fall also means a new blog background!
