39 weeks - you can come out now!
Love,
*MOMMY*
If you can't tell, I'm completely done with being pregnant. I actually don't mind it that much, but the thought of going too far past my due date makes me want to cry. I don't sleep because I keep thinking that every movement "might" be a contraction, or "might" be my water breaking. I can only do this for another week or so, and then I'm done. Well, I guess not done - but I'll be really unhappy. Ha.
Here's for the Quiz
How far along: 39 Weeks
Weight Gain: 23 lbs still
Maternity Clothes: Sundresses, Maternity Tank Tops and my pre-preg cheer shorts.
Stretch Marks: Still none!
Movement: I actually still have a lot of movement, which at this point it usually slows down because baby loses room
Food Cravings:still got the ice and orange popsicle thing going on...
What I miss: got my ankles back! but would love to bend over and move around like a normal person.
What I'm looking forward to: FOR GRAYSON TO BE BORN!
Gender: BOY
Belly Button: OUT
Emotions: Frustrated
Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks, and I've had a couple nights where I've had real contractions, but they've only lasted an hour or two.
Weekly Wisdom: I need to keep myself very busy until this little guy is born or else I'm going to drive myself crazy.

38 Weeks!
My hair is a mess and I look like a train wreck. I'm sooo tired and sitting at my desk at work is getting harder and harder. I'm going to try to remember to bring in a pillow tomorrow to see if that helps with the back pain. I knew I would hit this wall at some point - I just have to find out what works for the next couple weeks because this guy seems to be pretty comfy in the belly.
On a positive note: I'm miraculously STILL WORKING OUT roughly 4-5 days a week. I actually thought of stopping last week, but then realized that I do jumping jacks and squats as part of my workout and rumor is-that may help induce/progress labor...so I'm gonna keep at it! I DO think it would be kind of neat to say I worked out until the day I gave birth.
Along with my workouts, Dan and I take a half hour to 45 min walk every night. Some nights are harder then others. Tonight, wasn't too good. I was so tired and I kept getting Round Ligament Pain and having to stop. I think the walking + heat just doesn't = positive walking experience.
Here's what your really looking for:

Weekend Fun
Dan and I went to the Newport Aquarium yesterday, and it was seriously beautiful and seriously HOT. Thankfully, we didn't stay outside too long..just enough to walk around a little bit and breathe in some fresh air.
Afterwards we headed to Joseph Beth Bookstore to score Grayson some books/toys..and had a late lunch in the bistro that was attached. I've never actually been into Joseph Beth's children's section before, but it's AWESOME! They have tons of educational toys, and it's just a really great atmosphere for little ones.
ANDDD.........
Today, my friends threw an amazing baby shower for me (and Grayson)! Little man got so many nice things -we are soo lucky to have such generous friends!
We now have TONS of diapers, onesies, a tummy time mat, towels, carriage cover, toys...and mommy even got some additions to her Vera Bradley Baby bag!
After the shower, Dan installed the Car Seats, hooked up the monitor, set up the tummy time mat - while I put away all the diapers, clothes, ect.
Dan and I also finished purchasing and packing our bags for the hospital - I have like 17 different outfits for Grayson to come home in. ha.
So- Dear Grayson,
After Wednesday, you will be a full term baby! You can make your presence into the world then...Mommy and Daddy are anxiously awaiting your arrival and are SO excited to meet you!

36 weeks
Earlier today, I had a doc's appointment where they check to see if the baby's dropped and if I'm dilated..... So, Grayson is definitely dropping....BUT, the doc couldn't tell if I was dilated because he is "Posterior".
Actually, the doc said he "could" check to see if I was dilated, but it wasn't worth the pain he'd have to put me through.
Many babies turn last minute, so we are hoping this happens, because having a posterior baby and delivering that way = Difficult Delivery and BACK LABOR
Boo.
This is especially not helpful considering I plan to go Med-Free for the Birth.
Here's the Weekly Quiz

not really the update
Since I'm going to the doc's tomorrow morning, I figured I'd do the weekly update after. SOOOO, you have to wait.
I never updated about my work shower - but it was really super cute. We had some delic pizza from a nearby restaurant and some REALLY delic ice cream cake. I'm excited to announce that we are now proud owners of a space saver high chair, a bengals outfit, and tons of smaller baby necessities! We actually have the high chair already hooked up to the "big person" chair. Can you tell we don't have much left to do?
Well - in reality, we have a couple things to do:
1. Install Car Seat
2. Order my Mommy Cards (what? they're cute)
3. Pack/buy remaining items to go in hospital bag. (this is pretty much done, except for a few small items..aka, MATERNITY UNDERWEAR...)
4. Dan has to set up Monitor
5. Buy additional Baby items as see fit...hehe
So - these little odds and ends are getting done this weekend. Along with a trip to Newport Aquarium. We only have a couple more weekends of just Dan and I, so we have to make the most of them!
OHHH YEA....my friends shower is this weekend too! YEY!
I will now leave you with some pictures from this past weekend's festivites below....

Mommy Cards- YES PLEASE!
Top 10 Reasons to use your Mommy Cards:
1. New moms you meet and want play dates with
2. Contact info for Babysitter
3. Neighbors
4. Existing friends (the cards are just too cute not to share)
5. Put in holiday cards, birthday cards, thank you cards and more
6. When dropping off your child at someone’s house for a play date or birthday party
7. If your child is lost you can give out the card with their picture on it to help find them(Ehhh....not so sure about this one)
8. Keep one in your suitcase or diaper bag in case it gets lost
9. Will make grandparents smile
10.Just for fun!
Not sure if that actually sold Dan on the purchase - but they are oh-so-cute. Now, I just have to pick the one I like, which is sooo hard because there are so many to choose from.
The one above IS a top choice, though - so that's a start!
