Happy Momma Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day last year - I was getting off a plane having recently just attended the wedding shower of my sister-in-law. I remember thinking that "this time next year" I'll have a little boy.

Well, we have a little boy. and BOY is he FULL of energy.

Friday night, Dan and I went out to dinner with some friends while Mom and Dad B, babysat G.
Um. Look at that child's face. It has T.R.O.U.B.L.E written all over it. I'm pretty sure he kept both Grandma and Pepere very busy that evening.

Ha. Ha. Ha.

Saturday we ran errands. One of which had us buying Grayson his Big Boy Carseat. Tears Ensue. Omg, I don't know why I thought this was so emotional. But, I wasn't the only one who got teary. I texted the pic of G in his carseat to his Aunt Heather, and she started crying too. What is wrong with us?

P.S I'm not sure how we're going to make it through his first birthday party.

Sunday I woke up to breakfast in bed (YEY!).. And then decided to surprise Grandma at church. I think Grayson secretly wants to go to church every Sunday because he sure does get spoiled. Not only do Grandma and Pepere hold him, but there's a sweet little girl around the age of 4 who just LOVES to hold "the baby". To bad "the baby" is bigger then her. Of course we let her hold him, and after about 10 seconds she says "wow, he's wiggly, you can have him back"  ::dies::

My happy boy

After we went to church, we had to run more errands, and headed back home to do some deep cleaning of the house. (I know- why did we clean on Mother's Day?)
Anyway, Dan went to mow the lawn while I started doing stuff around the house. Grayson was helping me along with way. I didn't put him in his cage playroom because he gets fussy if he's all alone. Um. yea. We'll address that eventually. I was doing something in the kitchen for LITERALLY HALF A SECOND..when I turn around and can't find him. Grayson? GRAYSON?!!!

Oh, right...your behind the couch.

I think my child is part dog...

After we cleaned, I was made a strawberry/orange mimosa while Dan grabbed a beer, and outside we went!

Not sure what they were talking about

 "He's not looking!"

So that was my mother's day weekend.

Dan left this morning for his 4 day business trip, so it'll be myself and the dude until late Thursday evening, early Friday morning. I'm pretty sure Grayson will be very very happy to see his Dad Friday morning, as I already know Dan is missing his little G.

Just a couple snapshots

I forgot to update the blog with some of G's 9 Month Pictures!
Because of our crazy weather, we decided to do the pictures indoors again (boo)..But, his 1 year pictures WILL be taken outdoors. It will be July, and it better be warm!

Anyway, here are a couple shots for the shoot!

so funny that this picture is my favorite.
I actually didn't really care for the hat, but my MIL insisted. She actually bought the hat and told me to use it in one of the pictures!

I just realized that whenever I upload pictures, they look fuzzier?!! I thought it was my camera..but even these pro ones that were taken are fuzzy and not as nice looking. Odd.

So there you have it!

9 Months

9 months.

Oh "HIIIII"

There was a small tragedy that happened when I tried to stick the 9 month sticker on Grayson yesterday morning. It was immediately torn off and ripped apart. Thanks buddy!

Sadly, we don't have the 9 month onesie picture. Next month, the sticker is going on something else NEAR G, and hopefully, the sticker will survive.

So here's what G's been up to:

Weight: 20lbs exactly: 45th percentile
Height: 29 1/4 inches: 90th percentile
Still got my long baby!

*starting to cruise on furniture - mostly the couches. Obviously he's brilliant and knows that the couches are softer and easier to cruise.
*Dances at his Fischer Price activity table. So funny. When the music starts playing, he starts bopping up and down. Adorbs.
*We've moved him up to size 4 diapers at night to prevent any leakage.

*His eating has recently changed a bit. Grayson has decided that it takes way too much effort to drink out of a bottle. He would rather look around, play, eat regular food, ect. The only way he'll drink any formula, is if you bring him into a room by himself and feed him- and god forbid anyone speaks to you while your feeding him, it's done. (just imagine him at daycare with other babies around...)

We spoke with the pediatrician, and since Grayson's growth is perfectly on track, we were told not to worry about the low amount of formula he is taking in. Instead, we're going to introduce a third meal to help put a little more weight on him. (I was hesitant of this since adding more food might mean even less formula) It's not that he's that small...but he's shooting up like a beanstalk (get it heather and holly) and his pants are too short, but loose around his waist.

*Climbs stairs (supervised)
*We believe he's starting to get yet another tooth. Somewhere up top and towards the back. He keeps shoving his thumb to the side of his mouth, and his drool has been ridiculous. Just today, I went through three shirts.
*Says "Ma ma ma ma", "Da da da da da" "Heda" (yep, heather got him to say her name!)
*Likes being chased, or chasing after you..we have so much fun with this. We always get big smiles and happy screams.
*still LOVES playing peek-a-boo
*sleeps on his stomach

I think that's it for the updates.

This weekend, Saturday happened to be really nice out.  It's been raining almost everyday for the past month, and any excuse to get outside was A-OK to us. We were supposed to go on a hike, but our errands ended up taking a lot longer then expected to get done. So we improvised and took G outside in the yard for a bit.

I'm thankful we had such a nice day out Saturday, but today the clouds came back...Here's hoping to some sunshine this week!

A couple pics from our weekend:

"Heyyy"

Hanging at Dunkin Donuts

Wow Grayson, your so clean..

Ahh, fresh air!

"oh please let the Mets win tonight, my daddy will be so happy"

"What is that green stuff?!!"

"O, I'm just helping dad put together my cage gate."

"Wait a minute, where did everyone go?!"

I'm sure this is said every month, but, where did the time go? Am I seriously planning my child's first birthday party? I can't believe it.

Both Dan and I are absolutely LOVING this stage of life with Grayson, he is soo much fun. He is aware of so many things around him, and we're really excited to get outside with him and enjoy all the outdoors have to offer. Umm, mother nature, do you hear that?

This month, we're hoping to get to the Cincinnati Zoo to see the Zoo babies. We don't want to wait until the dead of summer when it's 100 degrees out. No way. Plus, if G is anything like his dad, which I assume he is...he'll just melt.

The Easter Bunny was here

and brought Aunt Heder and Aunt Howie!

Gosh - it was so fun! Unfortunately, it rained pretty much the whole time the girls were here, but we were able to make the best out of it by shopping, watching movies, and just relaxing chasing G around the house.

Grayson loved every minute of having his Aunties around. He was sooo spoiled with seeing so many family members this week. What makes it better, is that in almost exactly a month, we'll be taking the trip back to CT to visit family and meet G's new cousin Felix. YEY!

A couple quick pics from the weekend:

oh, how I LOVE mimosas. I think I'm going to make it a weekend morning ritual. Why not?

My sisters
and since you can't see the writing on Holly's t-shirt - yes, it does indeed say,  "ADORBS"

Nashville Y'all

Well, this weekend was quite busy!

It was my first weekend without Grayson- in Nashville - with my girlfriends. Even though we were only gone two nights, it was still VERY hard to be away. Don't get me wrong, though..I DID have a lot of fun with the ladies:)
I've never been to Nashville, so it was nice to get a sneak peak of what it was all about. There definitely needs to be a second trip down (maybe with Dan and G) so I can really explore the area. Us girls did some shopping, a lot of eating....and a lot of drinking. Champagne, wine, beer and mimosas - no wonder my stomach wasn't doing too well on the drive home Sunday!

We left rather early Sunday because my brother and sister-in-law were in town from CT the same weekend!  The boys went to a Red's Game Saturday, while Grayson was spoiled by Auntie Meesh and Grandma. Boy, does he love his Auntie! He was giving her HUGE smiles. Sooo cute!!!

I got home Sunday evening, just in time for some Meatloaf dinner with everyone!

Dan and I only worked a 1/2 day yesterday to spend more time with Al and Michelle. We were so happy they came out to visit. G was spoiled, Michelle and I got to finally catch up, and Dan got to spend some time with his brother.
We finished off the weekend with Dinner at our house...and dancing with the stars, of course!

Some pictures of our weekend:

In the car on the way

Lunch at Burger - UP. With some very yummy mimosas

we love our dance parties

Dinner at Sambuca - DELISH

 Out and about

Some lovely ladies

Of course I don't have any pictures of G with Al and Michelle. Boo. I swear I thought I took at least one.

Now that Al and Michelle left, we have two days to ourselves, before the loudest human beings known to mankind come to visit.

AUNT HOWIE and AUNT HEDER.
I'm not joking. They're seriously loud.

I'm so excited! I haven't seen Holly since Christmas, and I, of course, love seeing Heather. I'm already counting down to the weekend.

The Weekend

Another one bites the dust
p.s - video of rach playing the piano, and G walking with his "walker" at the end

Once again, this weekend was pretty exciting. Exciting in the wake up at 2:00am Saturday morning to take your son's temp and it's 106. Luckily, that doesn't surprise me anymore. No panic attacks this time.

From our last bout with high fever, we know that this is G's way of fighting off infection (oh, hello double ear infection. It's nice to meet you.)
A phone call to the pediatrician, a quick visit to the office, and we were armed with a stronger antibiotic, and are currently well on our way to recovery.

That being said - SaturDAY, was not so fun. Fred emerged (G's alter ego) and he was pretty cranky, miserable, and just hard to deal with. If your a parent, I'm sure all your sweet children have their own alter ego out there. Thankfully, Fred doesn't emerge too much.

Even though G was a little lotta crank, Dan's parents insisted we still take our date night. We were supposed to do date night and hang with friends afterwards, but, with the way Fred had emerged, we didn't want to scare off the grandparents forever. We like them!

Going out for just a couple hours Saturday night was truly a breath of fresh air. Ever other time we've had someone sit, we've gone to a group event, party, ect. We've only really had 2 dates nights where it was JUST Dan and I! After yesterday, we are certainly going to take advantage of the grandparents a little more often!

Today, G was...G again!

Of course we had to go see the Easter Bunny - and shop for some much needed summer clothes. G has a brand new wardrobe that is absolutely adorable. He is getting his 9 Month (OMG) pictures taken this week,  and I had NOTHING to put him in. With Grandma's help, we were able to get him a SUPER cute outfit that will be perfect for his pictures:)

Below are some pictures from our weekend.

No, I did NOT let him eat the whole cookie. Are you crazy?

"Momma, I would like another nibble. NOW"

"Walking's my favorite"

The Easter Pic. He's too happy. I love it.

I completely meant to post a video of when my sister came to visit and played the piano with G. It's a short, quick video, but it makes me smile.

Please keep in mind that the piano has not been tuned in years...and it's not so easy to play with an 8 month old on your lap!

Below is video of G walking with his little "walker toy". He's getting pretty good at it! (this was taken last week - so he's much better now)

Friday Night Blogs

What we do in our spare time

G doesn't look too thrilled

Blogging on a Friday Night = peacefulness. For now.

This weekend is going to be busy. Easter bunny visits, shopping, date night (yea), and 80 degree weather. Yup, I'm thinking it's going to be just lovely.

Hopefully, I have some hilarious bunny pics to post after the weekend.

Enjoy!
