35 days sounds so much shorter then 5 weeks. Pretty much whenever I think this pregnancy thing is taking forever (which it is:) I think to myself "I only have 35 DAYS left".
Dan and I are finally home for good now until the baby arrives. No more trips to CT, or anywhere else for that matter! We are most definitely looking forward to these next couple of weekends at home with our friends - I see some bbq's in our near future....
This weekend should be pretty fun, with it being Fourth o July! Laura and John are coming home from their honeymoon friday, and Dan and I are hosting the holiday festivities at our house on Sunday. The weather looks like it's going to be pretty awesome the whole weekend, so lots of fun in the sun.
Actually - the best part of the weekend is that I get to see Grayson's BFF ZACH! Ok, So people tell me that boys don't have BFF's but WHATEV. He does. His name is Zach, and he is so super cute you just want to eat him up.
Zach's mommy is Christina (shown in pics below - she is one of MY BFF's here in Ohio) and so our little guys who are going to be about 6 months apart...are BFF's..:P
Now for the QUIZ
How far along: 35 Weeks
Weight Gain: prob another 1lb or 2. I go to the doc's next week for weigh in.

What I'm looking forward to: Work shower is tomorrow! and the nice long weekend with friends

L + J's Wedding Part II and III
I'm a little late with this- but L + J's wedding picture updates - Part II and III (you may have to scroll down a little to get to their pics)
http://www.varlandphotography.com/blog/2010/06/
L+J are getting back from their honeymoon on Friday, and we are hopefully seeing them Sat/Sun or both days! I'm sure they have tons of fun stories to tell us about their trip to Ireland and England!

Nursery = Complete!
So - Here it is! The nursery is finally complete. It was actually pretty much complete a couple weeks ago, but Dan was still working on the Crane Mobile. Since Grayson already has a Rainforest Soother in his crib, we thought it would be nice to have something above the rocking chair. We decided on Cranes, because it's a small little hobby of Dan's to make Cranes when he's bored.
This weekend I washed all of Grayson's Newborn - 3 month clothes. It was then I realized that I WILL NOT be buying him anymore Newborn clothes. As cute and adorable they are - I have too many already. I do however, need to buy him more shoes (hey, he needs to look stylin when we go out)
Dan and I put his towels and tub in our Master Bath this weekend (oh wait, I did that...I actually cleaned out our bathroom so that Gray has his own little drawer for stuff..and bought baskets to put his washcloths, towels, and toys.) I've never been so thankful to have a nice large bathroom in my life.
Hope you enjoy the room as much as we do! We really wanted Gray to have a peaceful place to sleep and read books with Mom and Dad!

34 weeks - 8 Months!
34 weeks - 8 months!!
Wow - I have "hopefully" less then 6 weeks to go.
Here's for the Weekly Quiz!
How far along: 34 Weeks
Weight Gain: Gained another 2lbs - up a total of 18
Maternity Clothes: I wear a lot of sundresses right now. I still could put a couple of my pre-preg pants on , but haven't actually worn jeans in a while now. I'm definitely growing OUT a lot!
Stretch Marks: Still none yet - they are supposedly hereditary and my mom never got any..here's hoping to some good genes! (I'm not holding out, though)
Movement: Tons. At the doctor's today he kept kicking the Heartbeat monitor.
Food Cravings:Orange Popsicles still and ICE CHIPS. OMG. my teeth are probably going to break because of this
What I miss: honestly, sleeping. It's sooo hit or miss. I can get a decent night's sleep sometimes, but others (like last night) I'm up watching lifetime movies until 3 in the morning hoping that it will help Gray calm down a bit.
What I'm looking forward to: just getting the rest of Gray's things ready for him. We are pretty prepared at this point, but there are still small things that we are purchasing and organizing as we go along.
Gender: BOY
Belly Button: OUT
Emotions: Excited and NOW starting to get impatient. We both feel that we are pretty much ready for him and we're just waiting....

L+J's Wedding
So - I waited to post about Laura and John's wedding because I KNEW the awesome photographer would start posting the wedding pictures on her blog, and instead of posting my unproffessional pics, I wanted everyone to see theirs! They did an AMAZING job - captured the true personality of the bride and groom.
Here is PART I of Laura and John's wedding.
http://www.varlandphotography.com/blog/
L+ J's wedding was by far the BEST wedding we have been to! EVERYONE danced the whole night (dancing at a wedding is my number one gauge of how weddings rate in my book) Laura and her Dad kicked the night off with a great Father/Daughter dance turned wedding party starter...they definitely got the crowd going for the rest of the night. If you have people on the dance floor the whole night the way they did - you've done your job in planning your wedding!
The night wouldn't be complete without the bride and groom up on stage with a mic serenading us with my all-time favorite wedding song, Sweet Caroline (sisters - you'd be proud) - and finished off the night with the couples closest friends and family singing Piano Man.
I love weddings, especially those that I can look back to and wish I could re-live. It was such a fun night for everyone, and I will keep posting the photographer's blog links as they update with pictures.

A Rehearsal in tears
The rehearsal dinner - notice the playbills!
Christina, Elizabeth, Laura, Moi, and Meghan (this was right before we actually got to the rehearsal dinner venue)
Laura and John's wedding gets two blog posts. The first:
The Rehearsal:
This rehearsal dinner was unlike any other I have been to - not because it was set up like a mini wedding, which it was, and not because it had excellent food, great service, and some really, really great dessert. No, nothing material made this night what it was..
It was the speeches.
All four parents and both bride and groom brought the room to tears multiple times during the night. And not just the type of tears that sneak out as your fanning your face-these tears left us half sobbing, begging for tissues because the snot coming down our face was just downright embarrassing. The amount of support and love from the families of each was so moving - and a true testament to what getting married is all about.
Sometimes in the process of getting married and planning a wedding, you forget the "true" meaning of marriage and why your even getting married in the first place. Some want the "perfect" or "most fun" wedding - and you wonder if they realize they're getting MARRIED...I actually remember having to think this to myself a couple times during my own wedding process - that planning the wedding is secondary, the actual act of getting married is the important part.
What was soo refreshing about this rehearsal, was that it was completely focused on the actual act of getting married and becoming a husband and wife. Both families joining to create an even bigger extended family. The bride and groom each in their own speeches thanked every person in their family, and wedding party - and the groom ended with an unbelievable slide show for his bride - that only left us more teary eyed.
Thank you L&J for helping us all remember what a wedding is supposed to be about. A truly, memorable evening.

Stickers and Skulls?
OMGG...aren't these the cutest!!!
Super cute stickers you put on the babies onesie at each Month's milestone (there are 12 stickers in all)
Dan and I went through the different styles and these were just too cute to pass up.
I'll now park myself at the mailbox waiting for their arrival....:P
AND -this was PART of Dan's Father's Day gift.... since we were doing a lot of baby shopping this weekend, I decided to give it to him early! Definitely not MY style, BUT - if he likes it, then I can deal. There are a couple more items that I have to give him on the actual day, but this one I knew he was looking at possibly purchasing on his own, and I didn't want that to happen!

32 Weeks
Here I am - at 32 weeks. Man, the time is flying by....NOT.
So - I got to go to the doc's today (I'm now starting my every two week appointments. yey)
and he said that the little man is weighing in at about 4lbs. This is just a general guesstimate...But it's hard to believe that the little guy is already 4lbs!
Here's for the Weekly Quiz!
How far along: 32 Weeks
Weight Gain: Gained back those 2lbs. Up a total of 16lbs.
Maternity Clothes: Still the same...Maternity shirts a must, about three of my pre-preg pants fit.
Stretch Marks: None Yet!
Movement: Lots of ROLLING still. And..my back pain went away!! It's been a little over a week now, and it's seriously amazing. I feel like a new person. honestly. Workouts have become enjoyable again!
Food Cravings:Orange Popsicles still..
What I miss: Not running into things? I recently started just opening things into my stomach. It's a very weird feeling. You forget that your stomach is about 10 inches farther out then normal.
What I'm looking forward to: ummm..the weekend! Since we've been so busy, Dan and I wanted to make sure we had some sort of "date" before the baby comes. So, this Saturday, we are getting a couple's massage in the morning, baby shopping, hanging with friends for a bit, and then going out to dinner at a favorite restaurant of ours.
Gender: BOY
Belly Button: OUT
Emotions: Energized!

Baby Showers!
This past weekend my family held my Baby Shower in CT - and it was so awesome. Little Gray-man got tons of cool stuff. He is so lucky to have lots of family and friends who love him so much already. Dan and I immediately got to work on putting everything together the second we got back home....we still have to pick up a few odds and ends for the nursery, but I'm almost positive I'll be able to post pictures of the finished product by the end of this weekend!
I got to spend some much needed time with my sisters and already miss them terribly. I'm already anxious for their next visit!
